c.1870 Confeferate General S.A.M. Wood Lawyer Business Card Tuscaloosa Alabama

S.A.M. WOOD, ATTORNEY AND COUNCELLOR AT LAW, TUSCALOOSA, ALABAMA – Will Practice in Tuscaloosa and adjoining Counties. The back of the card has period notations in sepia ink and blue pencil. There is no date on this card but Wood resigned his commission in the Confederate Army in 1863 and was practicing law in Tuscaloosa shortly after the end of the Civil War so we date this c.1870.
